Our Head Nurse Lucy Hayne was at Crufts dog show to help raise awareness of the work done by veterinary nurses all over the UK, ahead of National Nursing Awareness Month which takes place in May. Lucy is a BVNA council member and was there for the four day event to give advice and highlight the routes available to those wanting to train to be a Veterinary Nurse.
During Crufts, the British Veterinary Nursing Association was also invited to participate in the launch of the Hounds for Heroes charity campaign, "Fit in Kit". The campaign is a sponsored fitness challenge that can be completed by teams or individuals. The charity is hoping people will take part in one of four specially designed challenges wearing their "kit", whether it is a uniform, sports club kit or something else signifying their hobby or profession.
