Cathy graduated from the University of Bristol in 1991 having previously gained a degree in Anatomical Sciences at the same university. After jobs in mixed practice in Devon and Buckinghamshire, she and her husband embarked on a world trip, incorporating the Lions rugby tour of New Zealand of 1993. She also took this opportunity to gain further experience working in a farm animal practice in the Waikato region. Since their return, Cathy has worked in a number of practices in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, joining the George Farm Vets in 2004 after a stint as a TB tester.
Cathy is involved in the George Farm Vets Embryo Service, implanting repeat breeder and pedigree embryos. She also has an interest in the use of homeopathy alongside conventional therapy.
Outside of work, Cathy enjoys spending time with her family and walking the dogs in the Cotswolds countryside. She also umpires ladies hockey and is honorary veterinary surgeon for the Harness Goat Society.
