I qualified from London University in 1994. I completed a small animal internship at the Royal Veterinary College, London before joining the George as a small animal vet in 1995 and was awarded my RCVS certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in May 2000. I am also one of the Directors at The George.

Apart from ophthalmology my professional interests include surgery and feline medicine. Most of my working time is spent the Malmesbury Hospital.

Outside of work I follow most sports, and volunteer as a swim coach at Malmesbury Marlins ASC as well as spending much of my free time transporting my two hockey-mad daughters to fixtures!

I qualified from University College Dublin in 1998. After spending 18 months in mixed practice, I decided to concentrate solely on small animals. I joined the practice in 2001, and spend time primarily between Malmesbury, Tetbury and our clinic in Nailsworth. My main veterinary interest is internal medicine, especially endocrinology as well as soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. I'm also a Director at The George.

Outside of work I enjoy all sport, gardening and am developing an interest in astronomy.

I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2004 before moving south to take up a post as a mixed practitioner in Cornwall where I stayed for 2.5 years. I joined the GVG in March 2007 to focus on a purely small animal role and became a Clinical Director for the Hospital in 2018. 

I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice and have a particular interest in surgery.

I'm married to Jen, who is also a vet, and we share a love of travelling, playing sports, walking and spending time with friends and family.

I qualified from Nottingham University in 2013 and joined The George Veterinary Hospital soon after. My interest is in all aspects of small animal practice, but with a particular bias for surgery. I joined the board of Directors at The George Veterinary Group in 2022.

Outside of work I'm a keen sportsman - particularly skiing, kayaking and rugby; although now I'm more regularly a spectator from the side lines! I've represented the George at the Woolsack Championships in 2016, 2017, 2018 and in 2019.

Hi, I'm Emma and I graduated from the University of Nottingham, starting work at The George Veterinary Hospital shortly afterwards.  I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, but am particularly interested in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. I split my time between the hospital and our surgery at Royal Wootton Bassett.

I enjoy hosting dinner parties, live music events and the odd triathlon! I also represtented The George Ladies team in the World Woolsack championships in 2016; the team smashed an 11 year old record which still stands today!

The George Veterinary Hospital welcomed Emma to the team in August 2017 after she graduated from the University of Bristol. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with a particular interest in medicine and dermatology. Emma is based in our Malmesbury veterinary hospital and is also at The George Veterinary Clinic in Nailsworth.

In her spare time she enjoys playing badminton, surfing and watching motorsports.

I graduated from Liverpool University in 2018 and after some time initially in mixed practice I've moved to focus on small animal work at The George. I'm based at the Malmesbury hospital but also have clinics at Royal Wootton Bassett. Being new to the Cotswolds, I spend a lot of my free time exploring new places in an attempt to tire out my Sprocker spaniel puppy Luna. I also enjoy baking in my spare time and watching football when I get the chance.

I started at the George Veterinary Hospital in August 2020 having graduated the same summer from the Royal Veterinary College in London. Having seen practice at The George as a student across my 5 years of study, I'm really glad to have joined the George as a member of the vet team. My main clinical interests lie in diagnostic imaging and internal medicine but I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice.

Outside of work I enjoy exploring the local area and socialising with friends. I've also recently discovered a keen interest in live music and DJ-ing! 

Ella is a Clinical Director at the Hospital. She qualified from the Royal Veterinary College with honours in 2007. Ella initially worked in mixed practice before joining Vale Vets in 2010 where she developed a keen interest in medicine and obtained her post-graduate certificate in medicine with distinction in 2016. She is now recognised as an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine. Ella also loves performing laparoscopic surgery and is an advocate of key-hole spays. Ella joined the George Veterinary Hospital team in 2021 and splits her time between the Hospital and our clinic in Nailsworth. 

I started at the George Veterinary Hospital in August 2021 after graduating from the University of Bristol. I'm originally from Nottinghamshire but was excited to return back to the south west having studied nearby for 5 years. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary, but find internal medicine and ophthalmology particularly interesting. 

Outside of work I love to play tennis and am currently trying my hand at paddle boarding (with varying success!). When I'm not out falling in the water, I enjoy cooking and either running or walking to explore the local countryside.

I qualified in 2020 from the Royal Veterinary College and started my career working at busy first opinion practices in Reading and Devizes before joining the team at The George in April 2022. I have a particular interest in canine and feline dentistry and I am always keen to discuss preventative dental care with clients. In my spare time I enjoy walking in the Cotswolds with my partner Joe and also attending festivals and concerts to see live music.

Megan joined The George Veterinary Hospital in August 2022 having graduated from Bristol University.  

Some of our longer standing clients will recognise me as I used to work for the George many years ago in our small animal and equine departments, before I had twin daughters. Since then, I have worked at a first opinion and referral equine hospital before focusing solely on small animal work at a large hospital, where I was fortunate to work alongside a number of specialists, across a variety of disciplines. I am a fervent exponent of the general practitioner, working hard to maintain high standards across both medicine and surgery and so relished the knowledge and experience gained from working in a referral environment. I have spent the last couple of years using that experience to help a friend progress a new veterinary venture before returning to The George in January 2023. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary, with a particular interest in ophthalmology.

In my spare time, I play hockey and enjoys films, books, cooking and baking.

I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2012 and have worked in a number of small animal practices before joining the George team in January 2023. I have always enjoyed the variety of general practice with the all of the challenges that come with it. I do have a particular interest in internal medicine, although I also enjoy time spent in the operating theatre. In addition, I am hoping to further develop an interest in emergency and critical care medicine to help treat patients requiring urgent care. 

Outside of work, I am kept busy with two young children and an enthusiastic Labrador called Phoenix. I enjoy finding new walks in the countryside with Phoenix as well as swimming and baking, then relax with some cross-stitch embroidery when I have time to sit down!

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2023 and joined the team at The George the same summer, having thoroughly enjoyed various university placements here. I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice, with my main interests being medicine and emergency & critical care. 
Outside of veterinary I spend my time training with Stroud Judo Club which is a hobby I have enjoyed since childhood, also enjoying the occasional camping trip and exploring the Cotswold's and surrounding area.

Hello! My name is Andi and I am originally from a small town in British Columbia, Canada. I left home in 2018 to attend the Royal Veterinary College in London, from which I have recently graduated.

Prior to my studies, I downhill skied for Canada for seven years and competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. In my spare time I enjoy running and cycling, as well as baking the odd cake or batch of cookies. I have a cat at home named Mr. Blue who loves to cuddle and keep me on my toes! I am thrilled to be starting as a new graduate here at the George and I really look forward to meeting you and all your amazing animals!  

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019, having previously worked as a Zoo Keeper and studied Zoology at the University of Manchester. I worked in small animal practices in South Wales for 4 years prior to starting at The George in 2023. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary general practice but especially love surgery and working with cats! Outside of work I enjoy amateur dramatics, cooking, and spending time outdoors with my husband and little boy.   

I joined The George team in December 2017, after fulfilling my dream of qualifying as an RVN in 2015. Having spent a few years working in a small first opinion practice, I was keen to develop my knowledge and further my skills within a hospital environment. I am most comfortable in the hub of the hospital looking after the in-patients. I also have a keen interest in dental care and completed the BVNA Oral Care Nurse Certificate in 2017. I enjoy running nurse consults which enables me to bond with clients as well as your pets! Another part of my role is helping to maintain high Practice Standards and ensuring we keep in line with all the current regulations, to allow our hospital to maintain it's hard-earned accreditation with the RCVS.

In my spare time I love finding new country walks with my Spaniel Ozzy, and my Husband. I'm a keen kickboxer and also enjoy swimming, watching films and nights in with my friends.' 

I joined the veterinary profession at the age of 16 as a student nurse and qualified in 1997.  I previously worked at The George between 2000 - 2004 and returned in 2020 as I love being part of a large friendly team. My main interests are in the theatre environment, especially anaesthesia and analgesia and I have taken part in many hours of CPD in his area. I am also passionate about making your pet's visit as stress free as possible and I completed the fear free certification in 2019.

Outside work I am married with two girls at secondary school and a mischievous Border Terrier called Peggy who is the real boss of the household. I enjoy sewing and needlefelting and we all enjoy trips away in our camper van. I am currently enrolled with the Open University studying towards a degree in Psychology and Counselling.

I qualified a veterinary nurse in 1999 and am very proud to have been a practicing RVN for over 20 years.  I joined The George Veterinary Group in 2014 after previously working in a variety of practices over the years including some time in a specialist referral practice where I attained my RCVS Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing.

I currently divide my time nursing at both the Malmesbury Hospital and our Nailsworth clinic. I am a clinical coach and mentor to the student veterinary nurses within our practice. I'm also an examiner for the practical element of the national veterinary nursing exams. 

I have always been extremely passionate about promoting the role of the veterinary nurse and our profession having served as an elected member of the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) Council from 2008-2015 and elected President in 2013- 14. The opportunity to represent UK veterinary nurses on behalf of the BVNA remains the highlight of my career to date.  

I have always enjoyed all aspects of veterinary nursing, in particular, the delivery of the highest possible standards of trained and dedicated care to our patients and clients.

I arrived at the George in 2002 as a student nurse having previously completed a BTEC National Diploma in animal care in 1995-96. Having started my nurse training at a practice in South Wales it was completed at The George where I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2006. I've always had lots of pets including ponies, dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents and chickens. Always wanting a career with animals, I have two Corgis and attend shows and agility classes.

Hello everyone. Having studied at Oaklands College in Hertfordshire I qualified in April 2015 and joined the Hospital team in June of the same year. Previously, I was a dental nurse and my interest in oral health now continues in pet healthcare. I also am interested in pursuing development of knowledge on canine and feline behaviour.

I have two cats; Scraggles (who I adopted as a stray) and Mimi.

I graduated from Reading University with a BSc Zoology (Hons) and gained invaluable experience afterwards at Durrell Conservation in Jersey, one of the world's leading conservation organisations. Following a spell as a Veterinary Receptionist I entered into nursing when I joined The George in 2014 as a VCA, going on to qualify as a Veterinary Nurse in the summer of 2018. I'm is a fan of Schnauzers, with two of my own.

I'm Naomi and I joined the team here in June 2019 having previously worked in another Veterinary Hospital in the Cotswolds.  I became a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2015 and have two pets. I have two pets, a lovely cat called Newt and a tortoise called Karl.

I joined the team joined in August 2014. My interest in caring for animals drove an early ambition to work within the veterinary profession. During studies at Cirencester College for my Diploma in Animal Management I volunteered at various kennels and veterinary practices to gain some hands on experience. I qualified in Spring 2019 as a veterinary nurse and continue to provide care both day and night for your animals.

I have a tabby cat called "Eva" but I'm fonds of all domestic animals.  Outside work I like setting challenges for myself and have achieved a black belt in Judo. I also enjoy fitness and running.

Hi I'm Ellie. I completed a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Hartpury College in 2014 and from a young age I always wanted to work with animals and progress onto being a veterinary nurse. I started here as a Veterinary Care Assistant and fulfilled my ambition to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2020. I have competed at flyball for a number of years and love being around dogs. Pets? Currently I have 2 labradors, a cocker spaniel and a lurcher puppy named Poppy; they're my companions when I'm out enjoying another of my passions, walking.

I joined The George Vet Group in January 2018 as a Veterinary Care Assistant after working with horses for nearly 2 years. I attained a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Management (equitation) at Hartpury College and am now pursuing my interest in small animals, having enrolled as a student to progress eventually to become a Veterinary Nurse. I qualified in Spring 2021 and now entered on the Register of Veterinary Nurses.

I'm normally at the stables in my spare time spending time with my rescue horse Superted.   

I graduated as a Veterinary Nurse in 2020 from Harper Adams University. My main areas of interest are surgical and neonatal nursing. Outside of work I enjoy riding my horse "Skydiver" , walking my family dogs and reading. At home, I have a 3-legged rescue cat who I got from Bath cats and dogs home.

Hello , I'm Sacha and I qualified as a veterinary nurse here at the George in 2016. Soon after qualifying I went to work nights at a referral practice and have now returned to the George vets in 2022 as a dedicated night nurse. At home I'm 'Mummy' to my two young children, Alice and Alfie.We have 2 Border Terriers called Bill and Ted and a cat called Twinkle.

I joined the George Vet Group in January 2019 having previously worked at Oak & Furrows for six years. I was their first apprentice and went on to become Animal Care Supervisor. Having worked with wild animals for a number of years I have pursued my interest in small animals and following my two years' study became a Registered Veterinary Nurse in spring 2023. My spare time is mostly taken up with looking after my many animals which include rabbits, cats, chickens and many others. I also enjoy making crafts and gardening.

I'm Lucie and I joined the Hospital team in July 2019. I was previously an Animal Care Technician at Lackham College for 3 years where I worked with a wide variety of domestic and exotic animals. Whilst there I also I hand reared a Brown Lemur and different species of birds. I studied a Foundation Degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Hartpury College and University Centre. Since joining the team I become a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2024.

At home I am mostly found making a fuss over my two Spaniels. 

I'm Courtney and I joined the team in January 2020 having graduated from Hartpury University with a degree in Applied Animal Science with Therapy, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I don't have any pets of my own yet I do have a soft spot for German Shorthaired Pointers as I hand-reared a litter of puppies in summer 2019. I've always wanted to work with animals and I am excited to learn more about the veterinary profession in this role.

I'm Cecilie and I joined the team in summer 2021 as a veterinary care assistant and am now studying to become a veterinary nurse which usually takes 2 years - I hope to qualify in 2024. Having studied Textile Design at university, post graduation I realised animals were my passion and I couldn't see myself doing anything else! I thoroughly enjoy observing and learning as much about the Veterinary profession as I have time for, particularly surgery. I have a soft spot for dogs and farm animals, but my favourite would have to be hamsters - I have two at home, Benedict and Garbanzo. 

My interests outside of work include a variety of crafts such as crochet and painting, looking after my houseplants and spending time with my hamsters.

I studied History at Edinburgh university from 2015-2020 , I joined The George as a member of client care in August 2020, before becoming a VCA in January 2022 and then a Student Veterinary Nurse in September 2023. I have an interest in feline care and helping with inpatients. Outside of work  I play rugby and enjoy swimming, I also have 3 cats called  Ralphie, Rhue and Effie   

I joined The George in April 2022 as a VCA, I studied level 3 animal management at Cirencester college , My interests inside of work include a theatre shift where I prep patients ready for procedures, I also like assisting the vets in consults and meeting clients and their pets. I have a miniature dachshund called Tyson and a whippet call Rio. When not a work, I enjoy taking my dogs to the beach and exploring new places.  

Hi I'm Nat and I started at The George in July 2022. I am based at the Nailsworth branch as well as speanding time at the Hospital. I am really looking forward to learning a lot in my new role as a veterinary care assistant. I have a dog called Drew and love going on long walks with him. I also have a long haired guinea pig called Corbie.

I started at The George in August 2022 and previously went to Cirencester college and studied level 3 animal management. I have an interest in canine behaviour. I own Great Danes which I take to dog shows across the UK, I also enjoy going on long family dog walks.  

Annabel joined the team in the Autumn of 2023. 

Based at the Hospital in Malmesbury, I have been at The George since 2006 and manage our front of house team. When I'm not at work, I enjoy gardening, DIY projects, socialising with my friends and walking with my exuberant Jack Russell, Jeffrey, 

Having been part of the Client Care team since 2005, there are probably very few of you who I haven't met or helped out on the phone at some point. On occasion, I assist at Royal Wootton Bassett but I am based in Malmesbury day-to-day. I have 4 dogs and occasionally breed black labradors. I love looking after my granddaughters and also enjoy meeting up with friends in my spare time. 

Hi, I'm Jayne and have been here at the George since 2012. I work full time in Malmesbury at the Hospital and occasionally you will find me assisting at our clinic in Royal Wootton Bassett. I love cooking and baking, watching films and especially shopping with my 2 granddaughters.  

I've worked at the George for 6 years now and am based in Malmesbury. Although you will often find me in the reception area, I spend a lot of my time on the phone behind the scenes taking the overspill of calls from all branches to assist our front desks and ensure your calls are answered even when our front desks are busy with clients in front of them. 
My spare time is spent walking 2 extra large dogs and gardening.  

Hello! I share the front of house client care role in Royal Wootton Bassett with Wendy McDougall. You may not know that any one of our client care team can answer a call from any clinic and so if I notice that there is a call waiting for another branch but they are busy you may well find that it's me who picks up your call, even if you were ringing another location. We work as a team to try and assist each other, wherever we are! 

In my spare time I love walking and training my Cocker Spaniel Wally. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and family also socialising with my friends. 

You'll find me pre-dominantly at our clinic in Royal Wootton Bassett clinic, and I also spend one shift at Malmesbury every week. I've been with the team since 2017, working with Alison to provide the best experience for our clients whether on the phone, in person at appointments, or when they are passing and pop in to say "hello" or check the weight of their pets. 

I have worked for the George and based in Nailsworth since the clinic opened here in 2018. Since that time we have built up a fantastic base of clients and continue to expand our services here.  I love walking my dog?(Honey) locally and also love having the company of friends, eating out and entertaining at home.  

Having spent 40 years in pharmacy work, I joined the Client Care team here at The George in January 2022. You will find me predominantly in either Malmesbury or Tetbury but I do pop up in other clinics from time to time.   
I work full time as part of the team but in my spare time I love reading and going to the cinema. I also enjoy swimming, cooking and baking. 

Although I joined The George Vets in early 2022, I already had a few of years of experience in veterinary client care which meant I settled into the role quickly. 
I've worked in all 4 branches and enjoy the variety this provides. My favourite part of the role is knowing much loved family pets are getting better under our care, and reuniting them when its finally time for them to go home. 
Outside of work, I enjoy walking the countryside (perhaps visiting a pub on the way!) and or keeping my mind active with both board and computer games. I also watch snooker and attempt to play every now and then. My other passion is travel books and learning about world cultures.  

Hello my name is Heather, I joined The George in March 2023 as a member of the client care team. I have a 7-year-old son, dog and cat so life is very busy. Taking my dog out with my son is my favourite part of the day and spending time with my family and friends. I am hoping in the future I will train to become a VCA then eventually a veterinary nurse as working with animals has always been a passion of mine.  

David has been with the business since early 2020 and he does a fine job ensuring the safe delivery of whatever we need to all our clinics and a few beyond The George which are convenient for our clients further afield. His role serves all veterinary departments in the Group and he's a popular figure wherever he visits, with many tales to tell of his career as a diary herd manager and also in transport. A perfect fit for our business!

Having spent 28 years at Honda, Phill certainly knows his way around a vehicle. He joined us in January 2022 and is responsible both for the safe delivery of medicines between our clinics as well as assisting with some deliveries for some of our farm clients. He enjoys being out on the road and getting to see the many sides of our business and the wonderful countryside that surrounds us.
