Heat Stress - Cattle

It would be perhaps reasonable to think that heat stress must be a common challenge in warmer climates but it can also be a problem for farmers in the UK resulting in:

-  Depressed feed intakes

-  Lower milk yields

-  Reduced fertility

-  Increased mastitis risk 


Our July newsletter looks at the factors and warning signs of heat stress in cattle and the preventative measures that can be put in place to reduce the risks.
