We have an opportunity for a colleague with a minimum of two years' experience to join our existing small animal team of 18 vets. In a stimulating and supportive working environment, we encourage clinical freedom and case continuity; helping us to deliver a high standard of care. Support is always available from our friendly and approachable team of vets which has a wide depth of knowledge, with certificate holders and others working towards the qualification.
We value the care our colleagues bring to both our patients and that they show each other. With a 4-day week and 1:15 OOH rota, we place a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
You can find out more by emailing Max.cory@georgevetgroup.co.uk or calling 01666 823165 and asking for Max.

It's rare for us to advertise veterinary surgeon opportunities on our own web site as we continue to receive many speculative applications stemming from mutual contacts or EMS placements. We're aware that opportunities to work in independently owned practices are in decline. We remain independent for many reasons, and top of the list revolves around clinical freedom and opportunities to progress, develop and influence the practice of which you are part. We also know that speed of decision making and working directly with their employers day to day is valued by many vets. We believe that The George is a great place to thrive in clinical practice through all stages of your career and if you are interested in joining us, please do get in touch with one of our species directors. You don't need to wait until we are actively recruiting - you never know what opportunities might be available.
Please be proactive and get in touch and stay on our radar!
We're only looking for candidates who care; your cover letter tells us more than you realise about your suitability for a role within our team. With so many candidates competing for the one role (on average 30+), don't forget to sell what makes you the perfect candidate for the advertised role. We try to acknowledge every application within 72 hours of receipt. Not all candidates will be invited for interview and not always are roles offered at first interview. This can result in delays in responses for some candidates who may not have been offered an interview initially, while we consider whether there is a need for further interviews.
